The preparation process of carbide and nitride molded joint and its application as a catalyst in hydrotreating processes of this invention deals with a process for the preparation of new catalysts based on mixed oxides of transition metals, which involves the preparation of precursors. The synthesis of these materials in oxidised form.From the preparation of a sol - gel formed with inorganic salts of these metals. The invention proposes a breakthrough in the preparation of these catalysts based on mixed carbides and nitrides of transition metals, providing an alternative route to the synthesis process for reaction in the solid state.The final product in the form of extruded textural and mechanical properties, is higher than that obtained by known techniques of the state of the art, and with better catalytic activity for hydrotreating reactions.
