A clamp (13) for a buoyancy module (1) comprises a plurality of part-annular clamp sections (13') connected to each other by hinges (21). The buoyancy module (1) is fastened around a subsea pipe (2) by pushing it over the pipe (2) while one of the hinges (21) is open and the clamp sections (13') pulled apart, after which the clamp (13) is closed around the pipe (2) and the hinge (21) is assembled by driving the pin through hinge knuckles (16a, 16b). Finally, a buoyancy body (9) is locked around the clamp (13).
