The invention relates to a dynamically changing counterweight used by machines making use of counterweights and, more precisely, to the change of the force they exert. The invention is based on the displacement of the mass of the counterweight from one place to another and vice versa. The system utilizes a flexible counterweight wound around a reel with the assistance of a motor. With regard to the state of the counterweight (winding or unwinding condition), the mass of the counterweight wound around the reel increases or decreases so that the weight force exerted on the point where the reel is fixed changes. In case that the mass of the counterweight is previously wound to another reel, the masse ratio between the two reels changes and so does the force of the weight exerted by each reel on its fixation point.
