Systems and methods are disclosed to facilitate career decision-making and career planning in a structured and scientific way. Embodiments of the present disclosure make use of statistical and optimization tools for reaching a right career decision. The proposed method provides a multiphase exploration and filtering process that also includesincorporation of cultural aspect and environmental fitment of an individual with respect to a career/job. The system and method of the present disclosure can include analytics driven career decision and planning where six phases, namely Orient, Navigate, Explore, Track, Choose and Plan (ONETCP) can be used to enhance career decision value provided by existing platforms such as ONET framework
