HIGHLY POTENT SYNERGISTIC COMPOSITION OF JATYADI OIL AND ACHYRANTHES ASPERA (APAMARGA) EXTRACT FOR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS

The present invention discloses a highly potent synergistic composition of Jatyadi oil and Achyranthes aspera (Apamarga) extract for therapeutic applications. The same consists of Jatyadi oil to which alcoholic extract of Achyranthes Aspera (Apamarga) is added in trace amounts ranging from 1 µg/ml to 100 µg/ml. The method to prepare the composition involves procurement of Jatyadi Oil from commercial sources; potentiation of Jatyadi Oil by addition of alcoholic extract of Apamarga in trace amounts ranging from 1 µg/ml to 100 µg/ml and finally optimum dilution of the potentiated Jatyadi Oil 250 times with suitable solvent e.g. DMSO to give the final product of present invention with high antimicrobial activity against infectious microbes such as Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Burkholderia cepacia.
