The present invention discloses a spectrometric system for spectral analysis of ultra-low volume whole blood sample to determine hematological parameters. The present system comprises a fluid sensing chamber containing the whole blood sample in form of uniform blood film, a light source to generate light beams having wavelengths corresponding to absorption of the hemoglobin and luminosity to pass through said blood film in the fluid sensing chamber, a digital camera including CMOS sensor to record photons in the light beams transmitted through the blood film in the fluid sensing chamber in form of an image and a processor means configured to receive RGB pixels values of said image from the CMOS sensor and process the same to determine the hemoglobin concentration in the whole blood sample based on the absorption of the transmitting light beams by the hemoglobin involving converting the RGB pixels values into grey scale and thereby computing grey values of thus converted pixels.
