A FORMULATION OF DIETARY SUPPLEMENT FOR GLYCEMIC CONTROL IN PREDIABETICS AND PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES

0044 The present invention relates to a formulation of a diet supplement for control and management of glycemia in prediabetics and in patients with type 2 diabetes. The formulation comprises wheat flour at the quantity of 1.5 g, barley powder at the quantity of 1.5 g, guar gum at the quantity of 1.5 g, onion powder at the quantity of 1 g, sodium chloride or common salt at the quantity of 0.4 g and turmeric powder at the quantity of 0.1 g. The mixture forms a formulation of quantity of 6 g for single dose, which is diluted with 100- 150 ml of hot water during consumption and recommended at 2 doses per day. The intake of first dose in morning and the second dose at night in fasting condition results in hypoglycemic effect in patients. The formulation is safe, stable and effective in prediabetics and patients with type 2 diabetes. (Figure 1)
