ABSTRACT System for controlling appliances in an Internet of Things (IoT) environment and a method thereof Embodiments herein provide a system and a method for controlling one or more appliances in an Internet of Things (IoT) environment. Electroencephalogram (EEG) having two electrodes is fixed at predefined locations in scalp of a user. The at least two electrodes captures an eye blink activity data performed by a user in terms of signals. The eye blink activity data is then classified by a processor to detect a type of an eye blink activity from the activity data. The processor generates one or more commands based on the type of the eye blink activity so classified.
