METHOD FOR PREPARING MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES COATED WITH CHITOSAN BY PRECIPITATION IN BICONTINUOUS MICROEMULSIONS.

A method for preparing magnetic nanoparticles coated with chitosan, which comprises the steps: a) preparing a bicontinuous emulsion having an aqueous-phase nanotube structure, the bicontinuous microemulsion being formed by water, one or a plurality of water-soluble precursor salts, water-solved chitosan, one or a plurality of non water-miscible organic solvents, one or a plurality of surfactants; b) adding one or a plurality of precipitating agents for producing a precipitation reaction in the aqueous-phase nanotubes in order to form magnetic nanoparticles coated with chitosan; and c) separating the magnetic nanoparticles coated with chitosan from the bicontinuous microemulsion by a water/acetone wash and magnetic separation.
