Methods are disclosed for reducing metal impurities from an electrolyte solution of Refinery.These methods comprise contacting a Refinery electrolyte solution comprising a metal impurity with a phosphate Ester which has a structure represented by the formula(i), wherein R1 is an alkyl or aryl Group rarmificado or linear, cyclic, and where the impurity metal selected from the group consisting of Iron, arsenic, antimony, Bismuth,Tin and combinations thereof
