The invention relates to a method of synthesis of LaCoO-type perovskite materials. According to the invention, the method comprises the thermal synthesis from solid state in air, starting from a predefined molar mixture of lanthanum and cobalt oxide as powder, having a grain size of 2...6 μ m, by controlled heating in air, at a constant rate of 1...3°K/min, to the synthesis temperature of 750...1000°C, for 8...12 h, to result in LaCoOperovskite powder with highly uniform grains as size, shape and composition, representing at least 98.7% of the total mass of the synthesis product.
