PROCEDURE FOR EXTRACTION OF ELLAGIC ACID FROM LADY`S MANTLES (ALCHEMILLA VULGARIS L.)

摘要

The inivention relates to the novel process of ellagic acid extraction from the plant species lady's mantles (Alchemilla vulgaris L.). The extraction process shows unexpected high selectivity fog ellagic acid, while the content of the other compounds is below the limits of detection. The resulting A. vulgaris extract also exhibited a satisfactory antioxidant activity, and the total flavonoids content is determined. Obtained A. vulgaris extract can be applied as a natural additive in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, because of its strong antioxiclant and protective effect.
