A Ganoderma lucidum fermented product is prepared in the form of a beverage or capsule, tablet or powder. Said fermented product can not only improve fatty liver, abnormal levels of liver biochemical markers, 10 abnormal serum cholesterol and bl ood glucose levels caused by reduced liver functions but also increase hepatic antioxidant concentrations and promote the activities of liver antioxidant enzymes after oral ingestion for a period of time.
