An immunogenic composition for use in administration to a human being comprising at least one complete inactivated dengue virus and an aluminum-free adjuvant, wherein the adjuvant is an oil-in-water emulsion comprising squalene, alpha-tocopherol and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate, and in which the oil-in-water emulsion does not contain any additional immunostimulants.
