A method for predicting the survival time of a patient suffering from a solid cancer comprising the stages consisting of: - determining the density of CD20 + B cells in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) in a sample of tumor tissue obtained from of said patient; - determine the density of an additional cell type selected from CD8 + cytotoxic T lymphocytes or CD45RO + memory T lymphocytes in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) and in the center of the tumor (ct) in a sample of tumor tissue obtained from said patient; - compare each density with a cut-off value; and - provide: a) a good prognosis when: a1) the density of CD20 + B cells in the invasive margin of the tumor is greater than the cut-off value; and a2) the density of said type of additional cell in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is greater than the cut-off value; and a3) the density of said type of additional cell in the center of the tumor (ct) is greater than the cut-off value; b) an intermediate prognosis when: b1) the density of CD20 + B lymphocytes in the invasive margin of the tumor is greater than the cut-off value; and b2) the density of said type of additional cell in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is less than the cut-off value; and b3) the density of said type of additional cell in the center of the tumor (ct) is greater than the cut-off value; or b'1) the density of CD20 + B lymphocytes in the invasive margin of the tumor is greater than the cut-off value; and b'2) the density of said additional cell type in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is greater than the cut-off value; and b'3) the density of said type of additional cell in the center of the tumor (ct) is less than the cut-off value; ob "1) the density of CD20 + B lymphocytes in the invasive margin of the tumor is less than the cut-off value; b" 2) the density of said additional cell type in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is greater than the cut-off point value; and b "3) the density of said type of additional cell in the center of the tumor (ct) is greater than the cut-off value; or bi) the density of CD20 + B cells in the invasive margin of the tumor is greater than the value of cut-off point; bii) the density of said additional cell type in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is less than the cut-off value; and biii) the density of said additional cell type at the center of the tumor (ct) is less than the cut-off value; or 60 b'i) the density of CD20 + B lymphocytes in the invasive margin of the tumor is less than the cut-off value; b'ii) the density of said type of additional cell in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is less than the cut-off value; and b'iii) the density of said type of additional cell in the center of the tumor (ct) is greater than the value of cut-off point; b "i) the density of CD20 + B cells in the invasive margin of the tumor is less than the cut-off point value; b "ii) the density of said additional cell type in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is greater than the cut-off value; and b" iii) the density of said additional cell type in the center of the tumor ( ct) is less than the cut-off value; c) a poor prognosis when: c1) the density of CD20 + B cells in the invasive margin of the tumor is less than the cut-off value; and c2) the density of said additional cell type in the invasive margin of the tumor (im) is less than the cut-off value; and c3) the density of said type of additional cell in the center of the tumor (ct) is less than the cut-off value.
