A nutritional product comprising a fat-soluble nutrient and at least 0.2% by weight of total dry matter of monoglycerides containing fatty acid for use in improving the absorption of the fat-soluble nutrient in an infant with nutrient absorption deficiencies, where said fat-soluble nutrient is selected from vitamins, carotenoids, glycolipids, sterols and oil-soluble phytochemicals, and where at least 70% of the fatty acids in the monoglycerides containing fatty acid are in the Sn-1 position.
