An inverter surge-resistant insulated wire, having at least one baked enamellayer around the outer periphery of a conductor, and an extrusion-coated resinlayerat the outside of the baked enamel layer, wherein a total thickness of thebakedenamel layer and the extrusion-coated resin layer is 50µm or more, athickness ofthe baked enamel layer is 60µm or less, and a thickness of the extrusion-coatedresin layer is 200µm or less, wherein the minimum of tensile elasticmodulus ofthe extrusion-coated resin layer at a range of 25 to 250°C is 100MPa ormore,wherein a dielectric constant of an insulation layer having a combination ofthebaked enamel layer and the extrusion-coated resin layer is 3.5 or less at25°C and5.0 or less at 250°C, and wherein a relation between dielectricconstant (.epsilon.1') of thebaked enamel layer at 250°C and dielectric constant (.epsilon.2') ofthe extrusion-coatedresin layer at 250°C satisfies (.epsilon.2'/.epsilon.1')1.
