A method of obtaining of sodium monosialganglioside and injectable preparation based on it is provided. The method consists in that the porcine brains are extracted with a mixture of trichloromethane, methyl alcohol, adsorption on the macro-reticular ion exchange resin, desorption of liquid extract separation of the ganglionic mixture, separation of monosalotetrahexosylganglioside's raw product with its following cleaning, drying and packaging. The method provides a high purity substance suitable for production of injectable preparations.
