APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING AND FIXING COMPUTER CPU HEAT SINK AND DEDICATED CPU HEAT SINK

An apparatus for mounting and fixing a computer CPU heat sink, comprising two sliding rods (52). The middle sections of the two sliding rods (52) are parallel to each other. The sections at either extremity of the two sliding rods (52) are in a bent form. Provided respectively on the sections at either extremity of the two sliding rods (52) are one support column (51) capable of moving on the corresponding section. The support columns (51) are used for mounting and fixing by fitting mount holes of a CPU heat sink on a mainboard. Provided on the parallel sections at the middle of the two sliding rods (52) is a bridging push rod (53) freely movable in the direction of the rod axes of the two sliding rods (52). Either the two sliding rods (52) are of a resilient material element or the bridging push rod (53) is of a resilient material element. The two sliding rods (52) and the bridging push rod (53) are assembled together to constitute an H-shaped structure. The apparatus is applicable in the design of an ultrathin chassis structure, favors a computer chassis structure in which computer hardware are rearranged, and facilitates the mounting and cooling of the CPU heat sink.
