The present invention provides a process for preparing a graphene or a multilayer graphene foam. The invention also relates to an process for in situ preparing a functionalised three-dimensional graphene foam or multilayer graphene foam. The functionalised graphene or multilayer graphene foam of the invention can be used as electrode or as3D current collector of an electrochemical-energy storage device.
