The present application to an invention patent relates to a cake packaging (1) and to a method for securing a cake to the tray (2) of the packaging, and belongs to the field of packaging and cake producing methods. The tray (2) is provided with a fastening device (10) formed by recesses (11) which receive the cake coating paste (101), which then spreads out of the recesses; the base (102) of the cake (100) rests on the tray and is impregnated thereon, and after the cake is covered and frozen, the coating paste (101) which is received inside the recesses (11), spread around the recesses and impregnates the base (102), freezes and fastens the cake (100) to the tray (2) by mechanical attachment. Also provided is a packaging (500) comprising a tray (510), a cover (520) and a disk-shaped base (530) provided with the mechanical attachment device (531) for the cake (300); also provided are bayonet devices (540) and (550) which attach the disk-shaped base (530) to the tray (510) and the tray to the cover (520), and a device (560)-(561) for nesting individual packagings (500) arranged next to each other in a stack (100).
