The photovoltaic cell comprises: a silicon wafer (1), a front gate line layer (2), a first electrode (4), and a second electrode (5). The silicon wafer (1) comprises a silicon substrate (11), a first type of front diffusion layer (12), and a side division layer (13). The first type of front diffusion layer (12) is disposed on a light incident layer of the silicon substrate (11). The side division layer (13) is disposed on a side surface of the silicon substrate (11). The front gate line layer (2) is disposed above the first type of front diffusion layer (12). The first electrode (4) is disposed on the side division layer (13) and is electrically connected to the front gate line layer (2). The second electrode (5) is disposed on another side surface of the silicon substrate (11) and is not in contact with the first electrode (4).
