A planting box information display method, comprising: acquiring a planting picture containing a currently planted plant which is collected by a planting box (S101); determining the species of the currently planted plant (S102); determining the stage of growth of the currently planted plant according to the species of the currently planted plant and the planting picture (S103); and according to the stage of growth, sending to the planting box an instruction for displaying display content corresponding to the stage of growth (S104). The planting box information display method may display personalized content according to the stage of growth of a plant planted by a user, thereby making the application more practical and fun, and improving user experience. In addition, also provided are a server, planting box and planting system having said technical advantages.
