An automatic obstacle-avoidance navigation system and method for an unmanned aerial vehicle. The system comprises an automatic navigation system and a range measurement system, the range measurement system being embedded in the automatic navigation system, and the control priority of the range measurement system being higher than that of the automatic navigation system; the range measurement system consists of an ultrasonic range measurement module and a laser radar range measurement module, both the ultrasonic range measurement module and the laser radar range measurement module being connected to the automatic navigation system, the automatic navigation system is provided with an automatic route planning module, the control priority of the automatic route planning module being higher than that of the automatic navigation system, the automatic route planning module being provided with an integrated algorithm module. The system achieves low-cost obstacle-avoidance navigation for an unmanned aerial vehicle, realizes automatic obstacle-avoidance of the unmanned aerial vehicle during automatically navigated flight, prevents the unmanned aerial vehicle from crashing when the route is wrongly planned or when an obstacle suddenly occurs, and improves the flight security of the unmanned aerial vehicle with automatic navigation.
