Disclosed are a coating for preparing a transparent superhydrophobic coating layer and a preparation and usage method therefor, which belong to the technical field of superhydrophobic coatings. The coating is composed of component A and component B, wherein component A is composed of the following components in mass percentage: 0.5-5% of hydrophobically modified nanoparticles, 0.1-5% of an active auxiliary and 90-99.4% of an organic solvent A, and component B is composed of the following components in mass percentage: 0.1-5% of ammonia-modified nanoparticles and 95-99.9% of an organic solvent B. The auxiliary in component A can react with groups on the surface of the nanoparticles in component B, i.e., amino groups and epoxy groups form stable chemical bonds, so that a certain cross-linking is formed between the nanoparticles and a substrate, thereby improving the overall adhesion of the coating layer. In addition, due to a smaller addition amount and a low degree of cross-linking, the formation of a film with a certain thickness cannot take place, and the overall light transmission also cannot be affected.
