The invention relates to a running gear for a tracked vehicle, intended for connecting a track (3) to a vehicle (1). Said running gear (9) is characterised in that it comprises a wheel (10) which is intended for engaging with the track (3) at a bottom run (3a), said wheel being rigidly connected to a plate (11) intended for being attached to a suspension system of the vehicle in order to move substantially vertically relative to the body (2) of the vehicle, the plate (11) also supporting at least one roller (17) attached to the end of a pivoting arm (18), said roller being intended for being kept in contact with the track (3) by a pushing means (20). The invention also relates to a vehicle including such a running gear and a method for converting a wheeled vehicle into a tracked vehicle.
