Disclosed is a collision and obstacle avoidance system for a driverless bus, belonging to the technical field of driverless buses. The system comprises a control system (1), an energy supply device (2), an execution mechanism (3), a detection device (4) and buffer devices (5). The execution mechanism (3) and the detection device (4) are both in signal connection with the control system (1). The control system (1), the execution mechanism (3) and the detection device (4) are also connected to the energy supply device (2). The buffer devices (5) are mounted at a front end and rear end of a bus and on both sides of a bus body. The detection device (4) consists of a vision sensor (401), a gyroscope (402), an ultrasonic wave sensor (403) and a radar sensor (404). The system enables a driverless bus to safely and effectively carry out avoidance, thereby reducing the occurrence rate of accidents and improving the intelligentization level of the driverless bus.
