A user terminal according to an aspect of the present invention includes a feature-quantity calculation unit, a feature-quantity encoding unit, and a communication unit. The feature-quantity calculation unit calculates a plurality of feature quantities on the basis of at least one of biometric data, acceleration data, angular-velocity data, and environment data generated by a biometric sensor, an acceleration sensor, a gyro sensor, and an environment sensor, and obtains a feature-quantity vector including the plurality of feature quantities as elements thereof. The feature-quantity encoding unit encodes at least some of the elements of the feature-quantity vector to generate status data. The communication unit transmits the status data. The feature-quantity vector includes at least one of a biometric feature quantity based on biometric data in a first time unit, an activity feature quantity based on acceleration data and/or angular-velocity data in the first time unit, and an environment feature quantity based on environment data in the first time unit.
