The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a novel, edible, processed barley product that has never been present before, is easy to process, and can be used for a wide variety of dishes and confectionery; a food composition containing the processed barley product; and production methods for the edible, processed barley product and the food composition. Provided is a production method for a liquid processed barley secondary product, the production method being characterized by comprising a heating step for filtering a ground mixture of barley and water and heating a processed barley primary product from which residues have been removed.
