METHOD FOR SENDING PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS TO MOBILE APPLICATIONS

Techniques are presented herein to allow a selective transmission of a message, e.g., a public service announcement (PSA) stored in a PSA database (140), from an accountability partner device (110) to a mobile device (120) of a selected recipient via a network (130). The display of the mobile device (120) is locked, and a user interface is provided on the locked display that allows the user to select one of postponing the review of the message or instantly reviewing the message. Time information and location information are generated and sent to the accountability partner device upon review of the message on the mobile device (120). The time information defines a time at which the message was displayed on the display of the mobile device (120) and the location information defines a location of the mobile device (120) at which the message was displayed.
