Disclosed is an adaptive computing resource allocation method regarding a virtual network function. The method comprises the following two steps: step I. forecasting a real-time computing resource demand of a VNF; step 1.1. carrying out off-line analysis on different types of VNFs to obtain a parameter relationship between a computing resource demand quantity and an ingress rate; and step 1.2. carrying out online monitoring on network traffic information about each of the VNFs, and forecasting, in conjunction with parameters in step 1.1, a computing resource demand quantity of the VNF; and step II. based on resource demands of the VNFs, re-distributing computing resources. The computing resource distribution method comprises a direct distribution method and an incremental distribution method. The adaptive computing resource allocation method regarding a virtual network function allocates computing resources based on actual demands of VNFs, thereby eliminating a performance bottleneck caused by equitable allocation.
