The power device (2) comprises: a movable blade (251) for cutting recording paper; a movable blade driving unit (201), comprising a transmission assembly linked with the movable blade (251), and an electric motor (23) for driving the transmission assembly, wherein the electric motor (23) is connected to the transmission assembly by means of a connector (26); and a system controller connected to the electric motor (23). Further disclosed is a printer with a fault repairing function. The printer comprises: a base (1); a power device (2) arranged on the base (1); and a repair device (3) linked with the linear reciprocating movement of the power device (2), wherein the repair device (3) comprises a special-shaped member (31, 31'), an elastic member (33) capable of extending and retracting in the movement direction of the power device (2), and a drive assembly (32, 32') for driving the special-shaped member (31, 31') to rotate; and two ends of the elastic member (33) are respectively connected to the power device (2) and the base (1). The printer has the advantage of processing an abnormality in a timely and effective manner, and does not require forced opening processing, which has the advantages of quickly solving a paper jam and having a high degree of automation.
