The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for skin-whitening including a Campylotropis hirtella extract or a compound separated from the extract as an effective component. More specifically, a methanol extract of a Campylotropis hirtella root is concentration-dependent and deteriorates tyrosinase activation, an IC50 value is a concentration of 20 g/ml, and the Campylotropishirtella extract and Neorauflavane and 3-geranyl-5,7,2,4-tetrahydroxyisoflavanone, which are separated from the extract, significantly suppress the synthesis of tyrosinase, monophenolase and dephenolase, and melanin, and thus, the cosmetic composition including the extract as an effective component is able to be used as a functional substance for whitening and lightening skin.
