According to the present invention, a refrigeration apparatus for a ship has a shell consisting of a refrigerant or a cold water heat transfer pipe and a gas-liquid separator, uses steam to supply cold air to a ship or a refrigeration warehouse in the ship, and comprises: a compressor to compress low-temperature low-pressure refrigerant steam; a condenser which is connected to the compressor, and uses seawater as coolant to condense refrigerant steam discharged by the compressor; a heat exchanger to use high-temperature high-pressure refrigerant liquid or refrigerant steam to exchange heat between liquid and gas or between gas and gas; an electronic expansion valve connected to the heat exchanger to control a temperature and a pressure of refrigerant liquid discharged by the heat exchanger to lower the temperature and the pressure of the refrigerant liquid; a semi-flooded evaporator wherein the refrigerant liquid passing through the electronic expansion valve is accommodated in the shell, and cold water communicates in the heat transfer pipe; and a controller connected to the compressor, the condenser, the heat exchanger, the electronic expansion valve, and the semi-flooded evaporator to control operations of the compressor, the condenser, the heat exchanger, the electronic expansion valve, and the semi-flooded evaporator. A portion of the heat exchanger is arranged in the semi-flooded evaporator to be integrated into the semi-flooded evaporator.
