The purpose of the present invention is to provide a manufacturing method of an electrode, the manufacturing method which is capable of improving welding functionality of an electrode tap as well as manufacturing processability of the electrode by minimizing performance area of laser ablation. The manufacturing method of the present invention comprises the processes of: (i) preparing an electrode sheet by coating an electrode compound on a remaining portion of the current collector in a form that forms a first boundary with the upper end portion such that a first uncoated part is formed on an upper end portion adjacent to an end portion of one side of a sheet type current collector in a longitudinal direction; (ii) forming a second uncoated part between the first boundary and the second boundary by performing a laser ablation operation on a portion of the electrode compound at the first boundary, thereby forming a second boundary parallel to the first boundary while forming a depressed step from the first boundary; and (iii) notching the electrode sheet into a shape with a size corresponding to a shape of the electrode, thereby manufacturing the electrode, wherein the electrode tap is formed from the first uncoated part and the second uncoated part when performing the notching operation in the process (iii).
