The present invention relates to a repeater-based satellite communication method and a system thereof. According to the present invention, the repeater-based satellite communication method comprises the following steps: a repeater transmits a first satellite communication band signal received from a satellite to a user device through a downlink; and the repeater transmits a second satellite communication band signal received from the user device to the satellite through an uplink. The repeater includes a low noise block down converter (LNB) and a remote unit (RU). The LNB and the RU individually perform frequency conversion and amplification processes for each of the first satellite communication band signal and the second satellite communication band signal.
