MSP - MSP-based Horizontal-Vertical Biometric Device and Method

Provided are an MSP-based horizontal-vertical biometric device and method. The biometric device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a light source array for emitting light to a users wrist, a detector array for detecting the light diffusely reflected from the wrist, a controller for controlling the intensity of light sources included in the light source array, and a processor for identifying a user by using a detection result in the detector array. Accordingly, an individual identification rate can be further increased by collecting biometric information with various depths in the same region in an MSP-based biometric process.
