The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating menopause in women, a functional health food composition for ameliorating menopause in women, and a method for producing a Monascus-fermented product. According to the present invention, by producing the Monascus-fermented products via the production method in order to acquire monacolin K which is a fermented product, it is possible to derive excellent effects of preventing, ameliorating, or treating menopause in women by containing the monacolin K in compositions for preventing, ameliorating, or treating menopause in women.
