The present invention relates to: an oil degrading bacteria Acinetobacter calcoaceticus SL1 strain (Accession No. KCTC 18501P); a composition for purifying an oil contamination medium comprising the same; and a method for purifying a medium contaminated with oil using the same. The Acinetobacter calcoaceticus SL1 strain, the composition for purifying the oil contamination medium, and the method for purifying the medium contaminated with oil can be usefully used for the purification of oil-contaminated medium, particularly soil, in the field of purification of oil contamination.
