The present invention provides a Mg alloy rolled material having mechanical properties different from each other in the lateral direction in the width direction, and a Mg alloy member obtained by plastic working the Mg alloy rolled material and a method of manufacturing the Mg alloy rolled material. The manufacturing method of the Mg alloy rolled material is a method of manufacturing by rolling a Mg alloy material with a rolling roll. The rolling roll has three or more areas in the width direction, and temperature control is performed for each area such that the difference between the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature in the width direction of the rolled roll surface exceeds 10C. By making the temperature difference across the width direction of the rolling rolls non-uniform, the rolled state in the width direction is made non-uniform. Thus, it is possible to produce a Mg alloy rolled material in which the mechanical properties are different in the lateral direction in the width direction.
