According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for detecting a vanishing point using a random forest and the patch-wise weighted soft voting comprises the steps of: extracting a plurality of patches from an input image; selecting at least one valid patch from the patches by applying a random forest on the basis of a feature of each of the patches; generating a voting map using a patch-wise weighting soft voting technique on the basis of the valid patch; and detecting a vanishing point in the input image on the basis of the voting map.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
