Provided are a method and apparatus for estimating a channel of a narrow band internet of things (IoT) terminal. A reference signal is generated and a sample sequence for reference signal symbols is acquired by dividing a received signal by the reference signal. And a channel estimation value for a current sub frame is acquired by combining the adjacent reference signal symbols. A channel estimation value in a current transmission time interval (TTI) is acquired by performing a moving average on the channel estimation value in a sub frame unit. Accordingly, the present invention can acquire a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain and reduce power consumption.
