Provided are a method and apparatus for channel estimation of a narrowband IoT terminal. A reference signal is generated and a sample string for the reference signal symbols is obtained by dividing the received signal by the reference signal. The channel reference value for the current subframe is obtained by combining adjacent reference signal symbols, and a channel average value in the current transmission time interval (TTI) is obtained by performing a moving average of the channel estimate value in subframe units.
