The present invention relates to a power distribution system of a reefer container ship which uses power supplied from other feeders to stably distribute power to a plurality of reefer containers provided in a reefer container ship even though any one feeder among a plurality of feeders is broken, and a method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the power distribution system of a reefer container ship having a plurality of reefer containers comprises: a main switchboard which has a plurality of feeders for distributing power supplied from a plurality of generators to the plurality of reefer containers; and a plurality of main distribution boards which receive power from each of the plurality of feeders and supply the power to the plurality of reefer containers. A feeder among the plurality of feeders is connected to any one main distribution board among the plurality of main distribution boards connected to other feeders, and at least one main distribution board among the plurality of main distribution boards is mutually connected to the plurality of main distribution boards connected to other feeders.
