The present electrical energy distribution system comprises an assembly of electrical energy generators (G) each driven by a heat engine (6) and supplying power to the distribution network; means (7) for recovering thermal energy generated during operation of the heat engines and for vaporizing the working fluid; a steam turbine (8) driven by the working fluid and associated with a generator connected to a distribution network for converting the recovered thermal energy into electrical energy; and at least one frequency converter 11 arranged between the distribution network and the electrical load. The electrical energy distribution system comprises means for controlling the frequency of the distribution network, wherein the flow rate of the vaporized working fluid is adjusted to a maximum value.
