A marine hull-mounted electronic device (2) is provided. The hull-mounted electronic device is adapted to be attached to the seat 10 having the through-hole 11 and the seat is attached to the hull 20 of the ship so that the through-hole of the seat is aligned with the through- . The hull-mounted electronic device includes a converter suitable for generating a signal transmitted to water outside the hull, and a housing 14 enclosing the converter and having a lower portion 3 and a flange portion 4. The portion located closest to the bottom and at least the bottom of the flange portion is watertight and covered by the surface 5 of the permeable material 17 against the signal produced by the transducer. A portion of the surface forms the window (13) of the housing which is arranged to transmit the signal of the transducer.
