CMOS HYBRID ON-CHIP CMOS TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT METHOD THEREOF

The present invention relates to a hybrid on-chip CMOS temperature sensor, and a temperature measurement method thereof. The present invention comprises: a PTAT-CTAT generator for generating proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) and complementary to absolute temperature (CTAT); a digital analog converter in a current source type for determining an amount of the CTAT in accordance with the temperature; a comparator for comparing a size of the PTAT and a size of the CTAT; and a control logic which receives an output value from the comparator to output the temperature, measured by combining a SAR type temperature measurement method and a ΣΔ type temperature measurement method, at a digital manner.
