METHOD FOR REMOVING IMPURITIES FROM MOTHER LIQUOR OF ISOPHTHALIC ACID USING CRYSTALLIZATION

Disclosed is a method for removing impurities from a mother liquor of isophthalic acid using crystallization, which can remove reaction intermediates generated in an oxidation process of isophthalic acid, and multi-aromatic substances to which the reaction intermediates are bound through crystallization of isophthalic acid, and can separate by-product having a difference in melting point from the mother liquor without further post-treatment. Provided is the method for removing the impurities from the mother liquor of isophthalic acid using crystallization, which comprises the following steps: (a) dissolving a solid component in the mother liquor by heating the mother liquor produced after an isophthalic acid synthesis reaction; (b) supplying heated solution to a crystallizer and cooling the solution for crystallization; and (c) separating the mother liquor and the solid component from the crystallizer and supplying the mother liquor to the isophthalic acid synthesis reaction.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
