According to the present invention, provided is a salt core for forming an oil gallery of an engine piston. The present invention has a pair of supporting pieces protruding in the inner direction from an inner circumferential surface of a core main body. Moreover, the supporting pieces have a fixing groove incised upward from a lower surface to prevent penetration of molten metal into an upper end of a supporting pin for supporting the core main body, thereby preventing the supporting pin from being blocked. In addition, the fixing groove becomes inclined as an inner circumferential surface thereof goes inward. Furthermore, an entrance hole of the fixing groove forms an entrance end having a surface inclined toward an outer side. Therefore, engagement of the supporting pin having a serration can be easily performed. Moreover, a fixing state can be more stably maintained.
