A walking rehabilitation apparatus for a severely disabled person including a virtual reality platform includes: an automatic patient transfer unit for moving a patient to a predetermined rehabilitation position in a state in which a trunk of the patient is raised; a trunk exercise unit configured to perform walking rehabilitation training while the patient steps on a foothold in the rehabilitation position according to a selected walking pattern; and an output device for providing a 3D spatial image to the patient by using any one of a virtual reality method and an augmented reality method when the patient performs the walking rehabilitation training using the trunk exercise unit. Accordingly, the present invention can improve training performance.
